These Terms & Conditions govern the auto locksmith services provided by Auto Locksmith Kettering ("we", "us", "our") and the use of our website. By contacting us or booking our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

About Us

Auto Locksmith Kettering is a mobile auto locksmith service based at Broadway, Kettering NN15 6DD, operated by Matt. We provide car key cutting, programming, replacement, vehicle entry and related auto locksmith services across Kettering and the surrounding Northamptonshire area.

Our Services

We provide mobile auto locksmith services including, but not limited to, lost car key replacement, spare keys, car lockouts, transponder programming, non-destructive entry and Ghost 2 immobiliser installation. All work is carried out by Matt personally — we do not use call centres or subcontractors. We will always aim to give an honest assessment of what can be achieved for your specific vehicle before starting any work.

Quotes & Pricing

We provide a clear, fixed price before we travel to you, based on the information you give us about your vehicle and the work required. There is no separate call-out fee. Quotes are given in good faith based on the details provided; if the actual job differs significantly from what was described (for example, a different key type or additional damage), we will discuss any change with you and agree a revised price before proceeding. You are under no obligation to continue if you do not accept a revised quote.

Proof of Ownership

For legal and security reasons, and to help prevent vehicle crime, we require proof that you own or are authorised to use the vehicle before we carry out any work. We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if we are not satisfied that the person requesting the service is entitled to it. This protects both you and the wider public.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in advance. We will confirm accepted payment methods when you book. Ownership of any supplied key or component remains with us until payment has been received in full.

Appointments & Response Times

Response times given (for example, "typically 20 to 35 minutes") are honest estimates based on your location and current conditions such as traffic and time of day. They are not guarantees. We will always do our best to reach you as quickly as safely possible, and will keep you informed if circumstances change.

Warranty

Keys we supply and programme are covered by a reasonable warranty against faults in the key or programming, details of which we will confirm at the time of the work. This warranty does not cover damage, loss, misuse, or faults arising from other issues with the vehicle. If you experience a problem with work we have carried out, please contact us promptly so we can put it right.

Liability

We carry out all work to a professional standard and are fully insured. We use non-destructive methods wherever possible to avoid any damage to your vehicle. However, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for pre-existing faults, wear, or damage not caused by us, nor for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel a booking, please let us know as soon as possible on 01536 674026. If we have already travelled to your location or begun work when you cancel, a reasonable charge may apply to cover our time and costs.
